I've got a friend who's a high school Latin teacher (1 through AP) and if you do even the bare minimum extra work each day during your prep periods (instead of treating them like a second lunch), you can be fully prepared such that you get the whole summer off. These same teachers that complain are the ones that arrive minutes before the bell, are home before the students, and use scantron for everything so they don't even have to grade their own tests.
