Thanks for the write-up. I only watched the first couple episodes so I have a couple questions how the fuck do they capture Dr. Manhattan and what do you mean by kill? And is Hooded Justice the guy who was in the wheelchair/the boy from the opening of episode 1?
I mean Im not averse to a 2nd opinion if youd care to.
They use some particle cannon thingy, i forgot the name of it but it teleports him to a cage made of melted batteries, which for some reason is Dr Manhattans kryptonite. Yes Hooded Justice(revealed in episode 6) was retconned to be Angelas grandfather, WIll Reeves, the old man in the wheelchair/the boy from episode 1. I say "kill" because technically, Manhattan himself is nowhere, his energy at least. It wasn't terribly clear about that part but his energy was about to be transferred to Trieu, and before it happened the machine broke. So that energy is unaccounted for.
As for the capturing, the racists raid Angelas house after she takes the stone out of her husbands forehead, triggering all his memories as Manhattan, he makes a bunch of eggs, walks on water, tells her this is the end as she goes outside and starts shooting all of the racists to try to save his life. She gets pinned down and Manhattan comes outside and blows the heads off of the rest of them, except for one who uses aforementioned particle cannon.
