| scarletspeed7 12/15/19 1:41:11 PM #4: | The Top 10 Scores and Soundtracks of 2019! #10 - Cadence of Hyrule https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sh1hqY2qXO0 In a brilliant mishmash of roguelike, rhythm, and Zelda, Cadence of Hyrule highlighted a blend of Zelda source material with the Crypt of the Necrodancer's tonally memorable style. The result ended up being one of my personal favorite scores of the year. In a game that is designed to be wholly reliant on strong music, right down to the mechanics, Cadence of Hyrule ends up clearing the bar with room to spare. The variety of remixes span genres and instrumentations while still hewing close to the core of the musical themes that have become such a staple to the Zelda franchise, in effect breathing entirely new life into a franchise that has managed to constantly innovate and stay relevant. The ultimate result is toe-tapping, rhythm becoming the main focus of these pieces that are usually written to be melodious and memorable. --- "It is too easy being monsters.
