If the final version keeps it, then yeah. The size of the consoles is surprising. Maybe fitting everything in a NUC is asking too much, but I cannot see any earthly reason why the PS5 or XSX need to be bigger than predecessors. The power to keep it competitive with gaming PCs for its entire life? Maybe. But even with the baggage of an optical drive, I was hoping things could shrink somewhat. Gaming laptop internal layouts are tiny. Stadia and xCloud point to a plausible future where your console is a dumb terminal for streamed or casted content. This might be the last generation.
