It wasn't a really hard fight. It was pretty easy and over quickly, but what made this fight memorable was that Knuckles pranked the hell out of Sonic for about 8 levels straight. When you finally battle Knuckles, it's finally your time for revenge. Not to mention, this was one of the rare instances where you didn't fight Dr. Robotnik.
