Dogfighting is deplorable but it is not the same as what budding serial killers do. Not valuing animals does not always mean not valuing any life. It's more like a twisted, extreme version of using animals for your benefit. And is someone a sociopath if they grow a conscience? Everybody who hurts another living being is not basically the Night Stalker.
