One of my favorite fictional characters of all time is a gay black man (Omar from The Wire). His sexuality is kind of a big part of his character since he's a gay man in a very homophobic world of criminals, but it comes off naturally and not like a corporation got a think tank together to come up with ways to get the LBGT market and get brownie points for it.
