| furb 12/03/19 6:33:24 PM #18: | We got aol first time around 92. It was too expensive. Long distance pay by the minute. We got dial up from a local service full time in 97. I had a middle school football gamr that night. My dad surprised me and my mom with a new computer and internet when we got home. Thing i remember most was the service splash page. It had links to like a dozen search engines like Excite Lycos Alta Vista Yahoo Hotbot Magellan Searching them all with the same term could bring back wildly different answers. I remember how awesome ICQ was for chatting with people around the world. Really cool. My first real online game was Tanarus. Sony made it and it was an awesome tank game where you fought on big maps with 4 teams. --- You know how fads are. Today it's brains, tomorrow, pierced tongues.
