After technicalities yeah, but after that he switched styles dropping raps with bars just to redeem himself.

But I wouldn't expect the robotic melodic mew school to be inspired to actual m.c.'s half the time, so I wasn't gonna crucify a kid who thought of a song like " One Night" lol.

It's not about technicalities. It's two entirely different situations other than not knowing musical artists.

Yachty is basically a culture vulture for hip-hop. He is (or was) making money off of a culture without giving respect to it. That doesn't mean he has to be a fan of Tupac or any other of his elders. But he should know them.

Now Billie Eilish is more pop with a lot of techno/electronic emphasis. So if someone were to ask her "How do you feel about Shirley Manson and Garbage" and she responds with "Who?" very arrogantly, then the comparison would be more apt.

The context of my posts had nothing to do with that but i agree so it's kind of pointless to even keep agreeing with you while also stating that we we're talking about two completely things

My exactly is in agreement with "Rn a ton of kids her age & younger haven't heard of so many of the greats that I am no longer surprised" with any youthful artist not knowing any legend in general, & you're right about you're yachty stuff at the same time too.
