Mutant Intent: I like the roster and the overall idea of this team quite a bit, but I wish the story pitch was a little more specific in terms of an actual plot. Several teams in this project have a very clearly defined direction that just doesn't quite make up for an uninteresting base concept. Mutant Intent has the opposite problem.
I don't disagree, but I also like that there is a general pitch here, without getting too nitty-gritty on details. The worst thing we could do is limit ourselves by shoehorning a team into a very specific concept. The difference between the Suicide Squad's unique pitch and a single story arc of the Suicide Squad is that you pull back on the specifics and give the gimmick. I think maybe what we need here is more firmament on the gimmick? Because I think in that instance, if it feels like there's a voice here and that there's a wide swath of stories to tell with it, Mutant Intent could conceivably be a very enduring series.

I guess that's really what I meant and just did a poor job of communicating it. I don't mean to imply that the idea lends itself to a super self-contained story in the vein of, say, Object Impermutants. I just think there's room for, like, more somewhere in there.
