Driftor and XclusiveAce tested the SBMM a lot and found that your actual lifetime stats are barely factored in and it's mostly based on your recent games. The very first game after I put the Snake Shot attachment on the gun, I went 44-3 because the SBMM put me against a full lobby of Timmy No Thumbs based on how shit I was playing the previous few games with the base gun.
