Because as everyone who lives in America knows it's a massive place with wildly different cultural groups, but in Japan it's all just one American stereotype. So you will encounter some weird shit. But realize you likely do that about massive countries with multiple cultures like China too. Okay the creamed corn pizza is pretty scary sure, but it isn't awful. The pizza here is rarely that good, but you can find decent places.
