Long enough that meeting of families is coming, my mom and sister know I like guys and girls but I've never actually brought a guy home. This is my first real serious relationship since I got divorced. I really don't know why I'm stressing. I think it's more about bringing someone into the family again because the three of us is all we got and I don't want them hurt again. My wife was the second daughter my mom always wanted and the sister my sister always wanted and it ended badly. Myself I can deal with the hurt but I don't want that on them again

You should know why: because it is stressful. You want everything to go perfect. You want the best impressions to be made. This is something new to you and like you said; you are in the first serious relationship since the divorce.

It's completely understandable to feel the way you do. Divorces are devastating on their own and have a tendency to make us second guess EVERYTHING after it.

If your family is accepting of the situation and they're a great guy, it'll work out in the end. Try to do what you can to encourage yourself that it will be fine and find ways to bring your at ease. Whatever you want or need to do to feel like it'll go smoother
