They'll get primaried by a "true believer" or just lose their next election because Trump's base won't vote. It's why the only ones you see speaking out against him are the ones who are retiring and don't have to worry about it anymore. Yep, the GOP tied themselves entirely too Trump and the whole "populist/nationalist" rhetoric and ideology because they knew they were fading as a party and needed to do something to grasp to power. But it's ultimately going to end in total collapse like we've seen happen every time political parties have done this across history.
