I watched it, but from what I gathered (it wasn't exactly clear) everyone has to mark their channel/every video has either for kids or not for kids. If you mark your channel for kids, it's basically a death sentence because you lose a ton of features like comments, saving videos, info cards, end screens, notifications, and personalized ads (monetization is still possible, they can't collect data on kids, so ads will be more generic and will be worth less, so less money to the creator). If you don't set your channel for kids...I don't think anything changes, the video was 90% how it affects kids channels.

I had to do a little searching for channels like mine, which are for adults, but it's fine for kids too. From what I read, "for kids" is targeting specifically kids under 13, so my channel will not fall under that. I'm just worried because I don't want to lose my kid fans, so if I set my channel to adults, do kids no longer see my videos? That would suck, but I don't know the answer yet.
