We've had a couple homeless people pass thru our little community here on CE in the 3 or 4 or maybe even 5 years ive been lurking around and occasionally posting. We had that one guy recently with the gofundme page, we had another in Daytona Beach who made his money flipping cologne (iirc, anyway, but he was definitely acquiring and reselling SOMETHING nonillicit in nature for a profit), hell, even I have been in and out of that situation probably half of my adult years, all said and done

As much of a loss it may be to have lost some of our own lately, first popcornfairy, now flam, I think its best that we keep in mind, since this is about flam:

The homeless population are still people. They struggle harder than most, and have to deal with a lot more uncertainty in their day-to-day, and sometimes that lesds them down a destructive path of substance abuse and incarceration...but not always, and certainly not always to the extremes that are exemplified by the vocal minority the media decides to spotlight

Just normal people, having a difficult time getting up after falling on hard times
