Also am I the only one that laughed when this guy said "what's up motherfucker?" In the stereotypical "gay guy" voice? I know it's his natural voice, but hearing that just made me laugh.

Open-handed strikes are actually better for self defense according to the martial arts.

It wasn't self defense though. At least not in the sense that they were in an actual physical altercation and he was being attacked and was trying to defend himself. He was being made fun of and got pissed off and threw a punch or slap in this case. If you are trying to get someone off your back for making fun of you then you should always use a closed fist. Especially in a case like this. I mean the other guy is calling him a word I'm not even allowed to write here even within context, do you really think slapping him is going to help? If anything that will just make him use it even more and adding in fighting like a girl and shit like that. But a black eye or a broken nose? That will make him think twice.
