What bothered me was that he was saying "how dare you talk about a parent that way. The fact that someone is your parent is infinitely more important than anything they've ever done to you." People like that piss me the fuck off, as do people who ruin their own lives to be loyal to shit parents. My stepsisters are like that with their mother and she is an irredeemable subhuman. What they sacrifice for her when she offers literally nothing in return really gets to me. There really is no 2nd side to the story there.
