my only San Antonio experience is my BMT graduation. I actually want to go back there. Good luck with your new job, I heard cost of living is low compared to most cities.

Yeah, I'm actually having a hard time choosing between my top two apartment choices.

1st choice:
+ Gigabit internet available from Grande
+ Less than 1 mile from work
+ Option of having an electric vehicle charger installed at a reserved parking spot
+ Most modern apartment complex I've seen
== They're going to install Nest thermostats in all the apartments pretty soon
== They're going to install smart locks in the apartments pretty soon (unlock the door with your phone)
== Rooftop lounge with a great view of the city
== The pool has freaking waterfalls... I probably shouldn't go chasing them, though
== Fitness classes, could possibly remove the need for me to pay for a crossfit gym if the schedule works out right
+ They have ethernet ports in the apartment, but the people who do the tours aren't sure what they're for. I'm assuming they're to connect to the internet provider, but there are multiple ports... Could possibly all be connected to a switch somewhere upstream so you can use whichever port you want.
- More expensive than the 2nd choice
- More expensive than my current apartment

2nd choice:
+ Cheaper for a larger space
+ So many great entertainment and food options within a short walking distance from the apartment complex
+ Will probably be quieter than the first choice
+
- AT&T or Spectrum as internet providers
- 15 miles from work, and apparently a 20 - 30 minute commute... Not TERRIBLE, but definitely much worse than living less than a mile away, especially if there are traffic issues.

The cost of either apartment wouldn't be a problem, especially if the new job pays how much I'm asking for. Even if they were to match my current pay, I'd be more than OK.
