As a primarily console gamer who uses GOG whenever possible for computer gaming (cause DRM is DRM, whether you like the company putting it on your computer or not) and only use Steam when I must, I really don't get this Epic Store outrage shit at all. Oh no, a game you want is on another website than your favorite one! The horror! It reminds me of console port begging, which is also widely seen as pathetic. But at least there's a tangible reason behind that: the large cost of buying another console and controllers, etc... Epic vs. Steam? Literally just having another webpage to bookmark.
