It's sad that no one answered my question
I personally can't answer your question because I have no religious belief. I can't answer hypothetically either. I mean, I guess if I was someone who fiercely believed in a god no matter what, I'd feel like a piece of my history, ancestry, and my life that I devoted to my god were being tossed into the toilet, but that's not really insightful, it's just assuming how a devout religious person would feel when their faith is at risk of being erased. But that sentiment is pretty obvious after all these years.

I actually appreciate Christianity for its early hand in laying down the groundwork of modern civilization (except for obvious steps back like the crusades and dark ages, and the time jesus killed a dude for kicking a puddle ), but I also think more people need to shake religion from dominating their lives. That being said, no major religion should really be trashed like fiction, since so many were integral to establishing morality and keeping order, those aspects are very real.

But I think we're old enough as a species, and smart enough now that we don't need any religion to use as bowling alley gutter guards to keep us from killing each other.

It's funny that religions were established in countries to bring their people together under one following, and ideally NOT kill/harm/accost each other, but the rules are swapped like it's opposite day when it comes to people of other or no religion.
