Its not always the parents fault, though. Some children just suck. You could have taught them right and everything. But then one day, they skip school with friends. And their friends met some bad kids. And trying to make new friends, they hang out with them. And then maybe try weed or something to be polite to the bad kids. And then something bad happens. It might be high school and the first bad thing theyve ever done. Its probably not bad parenting...


When the kid is old enough to know better but still makes bad choices it is still the parents responsibility to pay the injured party. It depends on what was done and the age of the kid. If your 13 year old son messed up the neighbor's yard with his bike then if the neighbor agrees, make the kid work that person's yard until it is up to where it was. If that doesn't work, the parent pays and then the kid should have to do some chores for the parent or take away allowances, etc.
