But nearly every single historical figure is responsible for some sort of evil. You just can't hold the past responsible by the moral standards of current times. But he didnt really do anything notably good. He was actively an asshole, it seems. What did he do to deserve being propped up? He wasnt even the one who first saw land, he just lied and said he was because he didnt want to pay the reward he had promised his crew. I mean I don't give a shit at all. I'm more annoyed that there are people who do give a shit.
