Leif Erikson beat him to it, but there was no lasting impact achieved, as far as we know. I don't see why you would celebrate Erikson, if you're not going to celebrate Columbus, considering neither was first anyway, what with all the tribes people who were there already. saying there was "navigation errors" is highly questionable though *points at the video i posted* Yes he technically got it "wrong" but not to the degree people think he did. --- Be a team player, guard those super jump rings.
