You're claiming blue-screen-of-death-ridden Windows and computers/phones costing hundreds or thousands of dollars allowed billions of people to escape poverty? Don't play stupid. In fact, Apple took advantage of people in poverty by having their cheap workforce build them their products for a fraction of the price tag that they'd turn around and sell them for. This is the workforce that made the news due to how bad their working conditions were that the factory installed suicide nets to prevent workers from killing themselves.
