Yeah if you made thousands of dollars per day, and worked every day for hundreds of years, you still wouldn't be a billionaire.

Do you mean if you just spend it all or just stick the money under your mattress? You could easily become a billionaire in much less than hundreds of years if you are making thousands per day.

Let's say you make $3000 per day, every day, no vacation. How many days does it take to reach one billion?
And for this example, your expenses are 0, so it's a net gain of $3000.

So assuming then that you invest $1,095,000 a year and earn 12% you would be a billionaire in a single working lifetime of 41 years. Faster if you invest into new businesses that earn considerably more than 12% a year.

We can also include vacation days and this still checks out.

And you could start with investing considerably less each year but still become very wealthy.
