Which is reasonable when you are a homeowner but if the cop saw a partial silhouette or outline of someone holding or pointing a gun he might shoot first. That said, I'm in no way a cop apologist. But an open door at 2:30 in the morning is a little sketchy. No way this is a murder charge.
