I think it's a master class in area design. for example; you start at the top of the level and gradually make your way down toward the base. even if you don't realize it, as long as you're always moving downward in elevation you're not really lost... because you're actually going in the right direction. eventually you reach the river. the natural instinct of humans is to follow water, and the river leads you right the boss. seriously amazing design. I agree entirely. Forbidden woods is top tier.
