Topic | Oil change based on distance or time? |
brestugo 09/28/19 6:16:15 PM #3: | I find that if you go to a shop that specializes in your vehicle's brand (GM, Audi, Honda, etc.) they do a better job than Jiffy Lube. Sometimes the people at JL just don't give a fuck. I had the bolts on the oil pan strippped at a JL (got corporate to replace the pan and bolts). JL is probably cheaper than an auto shop though, and damn sure cheaper than the dealer - unless you're under warranty. The one thing I like about the dealer though is that they throw in a free wash. That's at least $10-$15 around here. I've also had good experiences at Pep Boys, but it depends on the staff. When I had a long commute I changed the oil based on mileage. With a short commute I do it based on time. --- It's not about the size of the dog in the fight, it's about the size of the fight in the dog. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
