He killed himself over an assumption that maybe people around him might hate him. The worst case scenario isn't even worth considering suicide, it was an insane decision. Because he was scared. It may seem insane to you. But you can't say thee worst case scenario isn't even worth considering suicide, as the worst case scenario could be really bad.
