[Final Thoughts: It took me a while to figure out why I so drastically prefer this song over "Hold Your Head Up"--sure this doesn't have a stellar ranking, but it's well beyond that song--when both songs are dealing with similar subject matter and I don't have any real preference between the two singers. I think it's largely the perspective of the songs. Kesha's is self-reflective and first person about how she needs to let go; Christina's is about how you need to hold your head up. The message is easier to take when the singer is reflecting on their own life instead of throwing cliche messages into the void. Ultimately, it doesn't help this song tremendously, but it is enough to give it a substantial edge when comparing the songs directly. I think. That's now the only thing I can picture and the image is funny enough that I'm back to generally liking the song. [Final Thoughts: ...Ow.
