I thought facts over feelings was the conservative mantra? Human caused climate change and the need to take major action to reduce the damage is a fact. Only an American conservative who lionizes the flag and the troops and freedom could crap on young people for exercising that freedom to save the planet.

Any intelligent person should crap on slacktivist gestures like this protest that ironically result in congestion that exacerbates climate change.

If these millennials want to make a real change, they need to lobby politically and actually get involved beyond showing up at a rally that makes for some good Instagram photos. Climate change is not going to be solved with hollow gestures by lazy fucks.

This is the generation of "you do all the hard work solving the problem and give me credit when it's done since I made a social media post about it." Didn't do anything when they tried this approach at Occupy Wall Street and won't do anything now either.

This is a perfect example of what I said in the first post. You're not making a good faith criticism of their protest methods. You simply don't like them or their message and so whatever method they choose, you'll paint as either radical and off-putting or lazy and virtue signaling, because that's how you already think of anyone on the left who challenges the status quo to any extent.

How the hell is literally marching in the streets and shutting down traffic slacktivism? And how do you know that these people aren't also taking legislative and electoral action? It's almost like you decided to dismiss them regardless of what they did. If they are lobbying, you'll just say that whatever they advocate for is communism that will destroy the economy.
