>lack of National Dex, with NO plans to patch it in later (IIRC GameFreak has actually stated they're not patching it in)
>graphics/animations are poor and lazy; I saw something about a college student making a better Wingull animation than GameFreak themselves. They look like the 3DS games, except somehow WORSE; there's a picture of a tree floating around that looks like it belongs in a N64 game.
>Removal of Megas and Z-Moves (I personally like the removal of Megas, but for some reason others hate it. Z-Moves I'm indifferent towards but they shouldn't have removed them)
>Mega/Z-Move replacement is literally "What If Pokemon......... But BIG?!" and it's stupid.
>Most of the new Pokemon are dumb af. All 3 starters are lame, which has never happened before (Even Gen 5, one of the weakest generations in terms of starters, had decent starters. They weren't really anything special but they were better than this garbage), and there are like... 3 good Pokemon out of the ones shown so far.
>Galarian forms are just a rehash of Alolan forms, further showing how lazy GameFreak is.

Need I go on? This wouldn't be so bad, except it's been all but outright confirmed that the reason for this lack of quality is because of GameFreak's OTHER game, that Town game that I can't be bothered to remember the name of. Except THAT game looks even worse! Animations are lazy, gameplay is boring, etc. etc. etc. Combined with Pokemon's slow but steady decline in quality, and you get what are probably the worst Pokemon games yet.

I provide all of this as evidence, and yet diehard fans will still react with "B-B-But you're just a hater!" (even though I've been a fan of Pokemon since I was 4), and continue throwing their money into the garbage bin that is GameFreak, which in turn, will give GameFreak the thought that "hmm, this is an okay thing to do!" and the cycle will continue endlessly.

I've bought at least one version of every mainline Pokemon game (not counting Gen 1 or 2, which came out before I got into the series), including Let's Go (if you count that as a mainline game, for some reason). At least with Let's Go, there was some enjoyment to be had in seeing just how bad it was. This will be the first Pokemon game I skip out on completely, as there is no hope for redemption, save for a patch that includes the National Dex (and even that might not save them) which would require GameFreak caving in to the fans after having already doubled down on their worst decision ever.
