| BlAcK TuRtLe 09/21/19 12:37:10 AM #22: | The pessimism is an unfortunate facet of our social media/24 news cycle dominated lives. Everything is so stupidly politicized that people don't realize that it is objectively the best time to be alive in almost every region on earth. People concerned with the environment ignore all the positive environmental stories coming out, such as the evidence that the Ozone Layer hole is recovering. Use of clean energy is at the highest rate it has ever been, and is on a strong upward trend. People concerned with the PC-ification of society don't seem to realize that outside of the internet, the people actually insane enough to be weird SJW obsessed morons is VERY low. People complaining about white supremecy are in a similar boat, in that they're taking the Twitter accounts of insane racists as some sort of representation of society, when there has never been a better time to be a visible minority, or woman. I'm trying to bring a little more positivty into my life, so I've been ignoring a lot of these things (less news watching, less Reddit, less Twitter, etc.), and it has been doing wonders for my outlook on the future. --- "Like Darth Maul, the bastard child of Michael Flatley and hellboy" - trancer1 lol xstats ...
