Due to social media and the centralized internet, gfaqs became an afterthought for the original purpose....games. The 07 contest pretty much is the ultimate example of this, after it the decline began and very quickly. We've been running on fumes for a long fucking while now which is impressive to be fair. But lets be real, how often are we really getting new users? Its been a decade + since we've had major growth. Honestly, once a board starts creating containment topics for everything, you know its losing steam in overall usage. I post on another sports message board, and we recently had a "when was the last time this place blew the fuck up in rapid amounts of posts?". Everyone said Boise State/Oklahoma in get this....January 1st, 2007. The beginning of the end/start of the you know what of you know when. 2007 ruined society.
