I've been playing halo since 2003 and was even briefly in the world leaderboard for halo 2. Halo 3 had great maps and was halo at its peak popularity but it had mechanical issues. The weapon balance was a little off, long distance shooting was completely fucked, and dual wielding was rendered completely pointless. As far as playability goes, halo 5 is ace although far removed from the mechanics of the original trilogy with the introduction of spartan charge and ground pound on top of sprint. 4 and reach were ass as far as multiplayer is concerned so 5 is the best in a while by default
