I almost always mute music when I play games. Strangely, listening to a game's music while playing it is one of the best ways to guarantee that I get sick of it. Like I might even listen to the soundtrack of the same game outside of the game, but it bugs me in game. Maybe partly because so many games switch or restart tracks suddenly.
