Nurses can get paid a lot depending on how far they go with their education. You go for the bar minimum you ain't getting paid shit.

Problem is that even if you get the full four year RPN go around, you aren't guaranteed money until you pick up the pace with additional training or promotions.

I feel bad for a lot of friends and acquaintances that became nurses because they're all miserable and making nothing.

Schools need to stop telling people that nursing is a get rich quick job because it really isn't. Doc and Dentist, yeah, nursing not so much unless you're some prodigy that they stick in ER right away.

Except you can make money quickly in nursing. There are 2 year RN programs. Once you start working, you will make as much (or almost as much) as a nurse with a bachelor's degree. Meanwhile, becoming a doctor requires 4 years of college + med school + residency. A doctor earns the title of doctor after med school but residency is where they get their in-depth specialization training.
