What if most women just aren't interested in stem? Kinda like how most aren't interested in security guard or manual labor? Or similar to how most men aren't interested in nursing or grade school teacher?

It could be that that is the real reason behind the lack of gender diversity in these type of positions. That is to say, maybe people don't pursue these positions because they just aren't interested in the field. This may be taboo to say, but men and women are different. Maybe this difference drives them to pursue the careers that they do. You will have outliers that go into fields that aren't typical for their gender, which is fine. You'll have male grade school teacher and female engineers, and that's totally okay. If they aren't going into these fields in droves, that should be okay too.
