'Charlie saw the bullets go in, and he turned and ran over to the body,' said Wick, who is now on disability. 'When he saw the gun he grabbed it with both hands and turned around and started running with it.' He didn't see the bullet hitting the dog, but when Wick took Charlie out of the house he saw that the dog was bleeding from behind its ears and its body was 'like that.' 'That's kind of what's going on,' said Wick, who is now in the Army Reserve. Wick also told KXAN that his mother was holding a gun to her head until she saw police come around the corner and kill the shooter. 'At the time I was trying to save my mom, I was trying to get my mom out of the house, so I didn't shoot her,' Wick said. 'I was trying to save myself and Charlie for my safety. --- ...
