Race is almost entirely just a set of visual characteristics that we can identify a pattern of heredity in. Why would it matter if "White" people disappear in 300 years? Or "Black" people? Or "South Pacific Asian" or any other race defined by an arbitrary set of traits that have little to no practical bearing?
