Idk is it exactly what you mean but the ability of reddit users to basically repeatedly rephrase a decent to good joke in the replies to said joke for a good 5-10 replies is really draining I've been reading the same jokes on reddit continuously upvoted to the top for years. Here's a nice little test. Next time you see a gif posted where someone does something athletically impressive, count how many times you see a variation of the "I am an out of shape 30 year old man with geriatric levels of mobility, isn't that funny" joke.
