| captpackrat 08/20/19 9:34:10 AM #22: | Daily commute or one-shot drive to a job site? I used to live in Vista, CA and had to commute daily to Mira Mesa. It was usually about an hour, until they added a carpool lane to the freeway. Then it became 2 hours because everyone who was eligible to drive in the carpool lane had to shove their way across 8 lanes of traffic to get into the lane, then back across the freeway to exit a few miles later. Idiots. Now that I live in Nebraska, I frequently get jobs in Grand Island, Sioux City, or Des Moines, all of which are about 2 hours one way. I had one job in North Platte, which is about 4 hours one way.
