It didn't originate with her. You can't just make an excuse and say it's her family and absolve her of responsibility. She made the claim, so it did originate with her. It was a story within her family. She heard it and believed it. She did not "make up" the story. That's what she claimed. Another claim from Warren, just like her claim that she was Native American. She's an adult woman. It's called personal responsibility. She can look in the mirror if she had any doubts. She knew what she saw... A white woman, but still claimed she to be a Native American in her applications. Jesus Christ. She made a claim based on family history, and it turned out not to be true, so she admitted that she was wrong. It's not like she hurt anyone.
