Are we gonna ignore how the police support the fascist groups targeting Antifa?

Right wing pundits and media have painted Antifa as some violent hate group by taking a few events and lumping the entire movement under them. All Antifa is is a movement that opposed fascist movements, and do so mainly through raising awareness and exposing these groups.

(Also feel free to look up your local Antifa, you'll probably see a lack of calls for violence and just calling out fascist speakers)

Yes, we should decry any violent individuals who attack or vandalize otherwise innocent people/businesses, but those individuals do not represent the movement as a whole, which consists of a number of political ideologies united for the singular goal of stomping fascism before it festers. Violence against these actual fascists is justified as a form of preemptive self defense: their goal is intrinsically and historically violent towards innocents. They are not allies or victims, they're a virus that needs to be quarantined and left to die off.
