She told him "just friends" about the wedding thing. No clue if she said this prior, but I doubt it. All the while, they are doing everything that "just friends" don't do. I've been through this same situation and have even been TC. It's not malicious, we just want to have nice things without being responsible for upkeep.

I love other peoples dogs, I don't want to take them home and actually have a dog that comes with real life responsibilities.

About six-eight months ago, he asked what "we were" and I said I just wanted to stay casual and he acted like that was ok. I guess it wasn't. I thought of us as friends with benefits. I've had other fwbs before but they never became as emotionally attached. I definitely shouldn't have been behaving like boyfriends if I wasn't willing to actually be boyfriends.
