Admittedly, given how many settings it's had over the years, you could slap a few bits of terminology on pretty much any fantasy film and claim it's based on M:TG. But something based on the Gatewatch vs Eldrazi storyline could have made a great trilogy. Flash Gordon could have been amazing if they played it in the spirit of the original, but it's much more likely it would have been a totally generic space film and thus sucked. --- The shattered stage is set and there's a role you must fulfil ...
