Can we maybe not stigmatize mental health issues by suggesting that's why there are mass shootings? Hell, even for a larger population size, and assuming the same level of mental health issues proportionately, there's nowhere near as many mass stabbings or whatever in China.


China =/= USA. Every country, heck, every city has a different culture.

Something else interesting to note: These shootings are a relatively 'new' thing. No mass shootings prior to 1949 on record, and from 1949 to 1999 (50 years) there were 10 in the USA. From 2007 to present, there have been 18.

We cannot really argue that stuff like 'gun laws' are the reason for these shootings, can we? Gun laws have been stoic for quite a while (in fact, they have been tightened in the past few decades!); so what else is causing these mass shootings? A shift in culture? More mental health concerns not being address? Etc?
