And in their time of desperation, they even tried to kill him by going back in time before he ever mutated into his monstrous form. But nothing could keep the king of monsters down, history simply corrected its course every time. I mean, how else would you get sequels if your main star dies at the end? But then the strangest thing happened. The emperor of the world died of a heartattack and was succeeded by his son. And in that instant, Godzilla himself also fell prey to a heart attack. Except in his case, his heart was actually a beating nuclear reactor. And it went into overdrive. The blast could be heard from countries away, and left behind a crater where the air tasted like metal and the surrounding trees turned red with death. It was not great, but it could have been terrible. The PK meters only measured 3.6 roentgen after all. So if you ever felt like taking an X-ray to the chest... Blade has died.
