You still need to send them out, leaving you unable to play games until they return them. Better to wait and see if they fix the issue in future models rather than dumping cash on the current. Might get a better system.

I haven't touched my joycons once since setting up the system. I keep it docked and use PowerA wired controllers that are much better. Joycon buttons felt cheap and poorly made, wouldn't want to actually play w/ those things if I could help it.

That said...I'm sure some game down the line will require them for motion controls or something. Should I preemtively send them in for repair/replacement, or wait till I notice an issue, even if it's not for another 2 years (due to my avoiding using them as much as possible)?

Normally, I would say send them in since youre not using them. But if there is no problem, then Idk...
